CPSC accreditation n. 1038
Italian Institute for Toy Safety, the first European laboratory included in the
list of accredited laboratories for the total lead determination by the American
CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission), has received the accreditation
for all the following tests:
- Electrically Operated Toys/Articles: 16 CFR Part 1505, NEW!
- Small Parts Rule: 16 CFR, Part 1501,
- Pacifiers: 16 CFR, Part 1511,
- Rattles: 16 CFR, Part 1510,
- Full Size Cribs: 16 CFR, Part 1508,
- Non Full Size Cribs: 16 CFR, Part 1509,
- Bunk Beds: 16 CFR, Part 1513,
- Lead Paint: 16 CFR, Part 1303,
- Lead in Children's Metal Jewelry (CPSC Test Method CPSC-CH-E1001-08),
- Lead in Children's Metal Products (CPSC Test Method CPSC-CH-E1001-08),
- Lead in Children's Non-Metal Products (CPSC Test Method CPSC-CH-E1002-08).
IISG already asked CPSC accreditation for all safety requirements that
will need tests performed by accredited laboratories.
ICQ (HK), the Hong Kong subsidiary of Italian Institute for Toy Safety IISG,
has gained CPSC ACCREDITATION (n° 1257) to test for the following:
- Lead Paint regulation at 16 CFR Part 1303
- Lead Content in Children’s Metal Jewelry, Test Method CPSC-CH-E1001-08
- Lead Content in Children's Metal Products, Test Method CPSC-CH-E1001-08
- Lead Content in Children's Non-Metal Products, Test Method CPSC-CH-E1002-08

The Italian Institute for Toy
Safety has and keeps updated
SINAL accreditation. SINAL is
an organisation that verifies
and supervises that the tests in
laboratories are in compliance
with the Standard UNI CEI EN
ISO IEC 17025.
The SINAL accreditation, whose
accomplishment is voluntary, is
yearly renewed and it’s an indication
of technical and managerial
know-how of the laboratories.
EC certification n. 0376
Italian Institute for Toys Safety has been notified to European Commission as qualified Body for EC type examinations (n. 0376).
Within this field the Institute carries out::
- EC type certificates, that is the certification stating the conformity to the essential requirements of the European Directive 88/378/CEE Safety of Toys adopted by the Council of the European Comminities;
- conformity certificates to EN-71 Standards on Safety of Toys approved by CEN (European Committee for Standardization);
- reserches on testing methods and analysis related with toys safety.
We operate in close collaboration with the Italian UNI and partecipate for it at several European working groups about toys, child care articles, playground equipments and furnitures.

has gained HOKLAS ACCREDITATION (registration n° 195).
